"Choya Afternoon"
Choya Bay is a peaceful little village. I like this street that leads right down to the waters edge.

Signed, Giclee print on archival watercolor paper.
15" x 22"
"Choya Bay"
Choya Bay is a little village just a few sand dunes away from Puerto Penasco on the Gulf of California. The bright sunshine, the colorfully painted buildings, and the deep blue color of the Gulf made this scene irresistable to paint.

Signed, Giclee print on archival watercolor paper. 17" x 24"
"Main Street - Choya Bay"
Believe it or not, this is the main street that comes into Choya Bay. I found it interesting that the main street has only one car on it. I think I probably painted this during siesta time.

Signed, Giclee print, on archival watercolor paper. 17" x 24" and 30" x 44"
"Penasco Marina"
The marina in Puerto Penasco is a very busy place. with shrimp boats and smaller fishing boats like these. I set up my easel right on the beach, which attracted a few of the locals. They watched me paint and spoke to me in Spanish....about the only thing I understood was "Muy Bonita". I assumed they were referring to my painting.

Signed, Giclee print on archival watercolor paper. 17" x 24"
"Penasco Night Life"
I enjoyed doing this painting representing some of the underwater life as the sun goes down in Puerto Penasco.

Signed, Giclee print on archival watercolor paper. 30" x 44" and 17" x 24"
"Penasco Noche"
The sunsets are very dramatic on the Sea of Cortez!! I had to finish this painting back at the place I was staying because it got too dark. The awesome colors of the sunset together with the city lights made Penasco sparkle like a rare jewel!!

Signed, Giclee prints on archival watercolor paper. 30" x 44"
"Playa Bonita"
I painted this view of Puerto Penasco one morning. I wanted to show the effect of the early morning light on the city.

Signed, Giclee print on archival watercolor paper. 30" x 44"
"Rocky Point Shipyard"
Fishing and Shrimping is big in Puerto Penasco. It makes sense that it is also a place where vessels are built and older ships are refurbished. I did this painting to show the less romantic side of Puerto Penasco. I decided to paint a few dogs in because there are dogs roaming free everywhere! As gritty as this painting is, I like it for it's composition and feeling.

Signed, Giclee print on archival watercolor paper. 30" x 44"
"Sandy Beach"
I painted this from the roof of the house I was staying in. It was a warm and sunny afternoon and the breeze was gently blowing.

Signed, Giclee print on archival watercolor paper. 30" x 44".
"Shrimp Boats"
When I saw these shrimp boats, I just knew that I wanted to paint them. All of the different colors and interesting shapes seemed to call out a challenge to me. I had fun with the colors in this painting and I am pleased with the final product.

Signed, Giclee print, on archival watercolor paper.
40" x 60", 30" X 40", 17" x 24"
"The Gathering"
These two fishermen were just off shore at Sandy Beach. Their little boat is a popular lunch gathering place for the local seagulls.

Signed, Giclee print on archival watercolor paper. 17" x 24" and 30" x 44"
"Tied Up"
I was at the marina one day and spotted this picturesque sceen. When I started to paint, I attracted a lot of attention from the local fishermen.

Sign, Giclee print on archival watercolor paper. 17" x 24" and 30" x 44"
"Working Boat"
I love painting these working boats. They each seem to tell their own story of the hard working fishermen who depend on them for a living.

Signed, Giclee print on archival watercolor paper. 17" x24" and 30" x 44"
